Silver Thimble has acres and acres of new batiks!  Nan sent Joe to see the batik representative and he can’t pass up batiks!  Over 60 bolts of batiks have arrived at Silver Thimble in the last few weeks and Brown seems to be bringing big packages daily!

CALLING ALL QFLers!!!

QFL is back and starting April 1!  If you love shop hops, you’re going to love this!!  Truthfully, you can join a team without knowing anything about football (who said we were interested in football, anyway – this one’s a quilting game!)  QFL started in  2007 in Wisconsin with a group of six shops .  By 2009, there were 50 shops in 3 states.  This year, QFL is going national, so you will be able to use your discount when you travel.  Whether you are going to Washington, New York, Paducah, or California, you can participate.  What more can you ask for?  Well, there is lots more.  At Silver Thimble, we will have huddles, parties, road trips, group projects,  special discounts every month,  lots of prizes, including a grand prize just for Silver Thimble participants.  If you consider rotary cutting exercise, if fabric shopping raises your heart rate, if a quilt retreat is your idea of a team sport, then QFL is for you!

Super Sunday is Back – err - that is – we mean SOUPER SUNDAY

Those of us at Silver Thimble miss the crowds we used to get on Super Sunday, so we have decided to continue the tradition with a bit of a twist!  On the first Sunday of each month, if you bring a can of soup in for a local food pantry, we will give you an extra 10% off a single cut of fabric.  This will be above and beyond any Silver Thimble discount you may receive.  Some months we will have refreshments; some months, we will have other specials; some months we will offer demos - so stop in with your soup and find out what’s going on!  (Consider bringing 2 cans - no extra discount, but it will show you are a nice person!)  Bring your website coupon that day and get 40% off one pattern or book (you can use that coupon any time during the month, though!)

Hearts & Friends Quilt Camp

CABIN FEVER DAZE

Lu and Mary Ellen are still having fun finding small, easy to finish projects for our Cabin Fever Daze!  If you are feeling itchy to get out for a few hours on a Sunday afternoon, then join us for a simple, inexpensive project that you will take home completed.  Cost is minimal, but pre-registration is required.  All you need to bring is your sewing machine and basic sewing supplies, including neutral thread.  Join Lu & Mary Ellen for a fun afternoon!

Sunday, March 14, 1:00 PM - A delightful table mat that you could make for each season or put alternate seasons on front and back so that it will do double duty! - $15.00.  Stop into the shop to see the samples.  You will want to make dozens, they are so fun and easy to make!

SATURDAY SEW-IN

The next Saturday Sew-In will be held on Saturday, March 6.  Saturday Sew-In is an open sew held the first Saturday of each month from 6-9:00 or thereabouts.  Sometimes we have refreshments.  Sometimes we have door prizes.  We always have fellowship and advice (sewing that is) if you are having a problem with a project.  Call the shop to sign up (no fee – just let us know you are coming!) and we will see you on Saturday night!
